Madonna's Confessions on a Dance Floor...

... is the best Kylie Minogue album ever.

Comments:
well at least racerx doesn't hold any grudges...

Yeah, seriously. Although, anon, I rather doubt Racer X has been carrying his grudge since the review he cites was published (23 years ago). Contrary to what he writes, the review -- actually a round up of several metal albums -- doesn't say Number of the Beast is bland. What it says is, "Iron Maiden's The Number of the Beast isn't as dreadfully bland as the Rainbow LP." Still, I suppose anyone who would describe guitar solos as "phenominal" is likely not a careful reader. (The curious may find the review here: http://www.rollingstone.com/artists/4086/albums/album/142131?rnd=1134573446071&has-player=unknown)

For what it's worth, I subsequently upgraded my assessment of the album in the Rolling Stone Album Guide, where The Number of the Beast gets three and a half stars.

Your article is very informative and helped me further.

Thanks, David
